It’s been a proper spring day here today.  The Snowdrift crabapple is in full flower and the sheep are enjoying grazing on new grass in the filed right next to the tree.  

By March, something shifts, and I find myself craving the scent of living things—the damp, earthy smell of fresh soil and the faint green sweetness of new growth.
