Greenhouse
By March, something shifts, and I find myself craving the scent of living things—the damp, earthy smell of fresh soil and the faint green sweetness of new growth. Here in New England, winter feels long at this point, and the world outside still very monochromatic, so stepping into a greenhouse becomes a kind of relief. The warm, humid air, the fragrance of plants, and suddenly everything feels alive again. Rows of seedlings, bright leaves, and that heavy, loamy scent seem to promise that spring is close. Here are a few greenhouses that I have especially enjoyed visiting and looking at these photos now I am reminded that gardening season is just around the corner.
