A Late Afternoon Snow
With temp around 20F and a light snow falling, it was a pleasant walk this afternoon.
A Currier and Ives Kind of Day
Looking down from the top of the pasture today, the farm had a real Currier and Ives look to it with smoke from the wood stove billowing out of the chimney.
Excitement In The Air
Last week was a beautiful December week. A little snow brightened the landscape. There was some gorgeous light, both from the Cold Moon in the sky-the last full moon of the year- and from the morning light that streamed through the windows.
Graceful Grass
Molinia arundinacea ‘skyracer’ is such a beautiful and elegant grass against the white snow.
The White Stuff
It has been brutally cold here in our little corner of New Hampshire this week with a wicked wind chill. Great for making snow, however. Something the slopes are happy to see given the temperature roller coaster we have been riding most of the winter so far.
It’s All About The Wood
At this time of year, many New Englanders share a common purpose: Getting firewood stacked and under cover before the real winter weather hits.
