There is nothing that can cheer up a house like a gift of spring flowers.

I couldn’t drive by All Saints in Peterborough yesterday without stopping to admire the beautiful granite church all dressed up in its spring finery.  

It’s been a proper spring day here today.  The Snowdrift crabapple is in full flower and the sheep are enjoying grazing on new grass in the filed right next to the tree.  

A gift of potted tulips in late winter feels like a quiet promise set on the windowsill.
