Some fun Photoshop work here. I was playing around with three layers of different colored textures using a variety of blending modes when the resulting yellow-gold tints reminded me of colors that J.M.W. Turner might have used. It was then that I decided to move more in the direction of a "photoshop painting" and add a photo of a tree that I had captured at Asticou Azalea Garden in Maine (can be seen faintly in upper right). After blending the tree into the textural layers, I used a soft brush to paint in just a hint of blue to represent sky behind the tree, as well as in the middle ground of the "painting" to represent water. I titled the photo, "Hidden Lake."
