A Bark Is Worth A Few Bytes

Winter has come to an end with today officially being the first day of Spring.  We had much less snow here in New Hampshire this year when compared to other years and many of those beautiful snow scenes that are always such fun to photograph were missing. Nevertheless, there were still many other interesting things worth capturing on camera and this winter I was particularly captivated by the variety of colors and textures in the bark of trees that are scattered throughout, and around, the garden. Here is a small collection of some of my favorites from this year.  All of these images were captured on an iPhone as I worked around the garden engaged in winter-garden kinds of things.
